BioEcon is a research project aimed at the development of bio-economy in Poland
On 21-22.06.2016 in IUNG-PIB in Puławy took place International Conference "BIOECONOMY IN AGRICULTURE,” organized under the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Marshal of the Lubelskie Region, and the Lublin Business Club Association. The conference provided a unique overview of bioeconomy aspects andstrategies in Poland. The meeting enabled discussions between the representatives of science, business and public administration at various levels in the field of networking for the development of bio-economy in Poland. On the first day of the conference 13 papers regarding political action in favor of bioeconomy, of biomass and environmental resources were delivered. On the second day 13 presentations in the field of politics, vision and case studies related to bioeconomy in a broader sense were delivered. During the conference, 50 posters we are also presented. The conference was attended by over 150 people from Poland and abroad.

construction of a geographical information system for research in the field of bio-economy,
creating interactive web applications for obtaining, modeling and dissemination of knowledge in the field of bio-economy,
research and development of information decision support systems for prosumer model,
performing interdisciplinary research and system analysis,
development of deterministic and stochastic models of processes and phenomena.
